I finished my latest post PA job last week. I contacted my former boss, found out he still isn’t planning on taking a job anytime soon. So I updated my resume, sent it to a few contacts but I had made a conscious decision that I was still going to only apply for jobs in post. Then yesterday I saw an ad for an office manager for an actor’s company which required basically all of the exact skills I have from my former managing director job. So I decided, fuck it, I might as well go for it. I updated my managerial resume and sent it in. Well, I got an interview! For tomorrow morning. It’s scary mostly because it’s a definite move away from what I have been doing for the past 2 years but still within the industry. I guess all I can do it take the interview and go from there. Wow…this could be a big change.
